Bankruptcy Lawyer Dedicated to helping Warren Residents with Debt Relief
A wise man once said, “Choose a career you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”. Local bankruptcy attorney Ronald Cook personifies this adage. His sincere passion for helping people, combined with a robust laugh that instantly puts on a smile on your face, and a mind like a steel trap (if you have a question about bankruptcy, he’s your “go-to” guy) exemplifies the love he has for the practice of bankruptcy law.
Decades of Experience
Attorney Cook joined Foster Law Offices in May, 2011 after a successful career of more than twenty years saving as a judicial law clerk with the Bankruptcy Court in Erie, PA. With decades of Court experience under his belt, he has a vast knowledge of all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code and a great familiarity of the bankruptcy process. Often times he is asked why he chose to shift his focus to the “other side” of the bankruptcy field and his answer is simple, “because I want to help the hardworking people directly”. Attorney Cook is quick to add, “and I am enjoying every minute”!
A graduate of the University of Akron; Attorney Cook holds three degrees. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Akron. In addition to practicing law in Pennsylvania, Attorney Cook is also licensed to practice law in Ohio. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association and Erie County Bar Association, where he serves on the Bankruptcy Committee.
The Man behind the Desk
On the exterior, Attorney Cook looks like, well, an attorney; but, the man behind the desk is more than just another lawyer in a suit and tie. So who is Ronald Cook? Attorney Cook is a licensed bankruptcy lawyer, but he is also a “local guy”. He resides in North East, PA with his wife Cathy and their three babies (Bichon Frise dogs). In his free time he enjoys riding his motorcycle, cheering on the Cleveland Browns and spending time with his grandkids. He prides himself on establishing a personal relationship with his clients and taking time to really understand their debt problems while offering a long-term debt relief solution.
You Should Know
We decided to put Attorney Cook’s twenty eight years of experience to work. We asked him the following question, if you could tell people ONE fact about bankruptcy—what would it be? Quickly he responded, “Often times in a bankruptcy case you can keep all of your assets including any pensions and 401k or similar plans and be able to receive a discharge (eliminate) of your debt”.
